I’ve been thinking a lot about how to organize and manage this project. Maybe I read Fountainhead a little too intently but I think there’s a lot of value in individual skill and focus. This post by Chris Messina makes some very valid points. I want the project to be open enough to allow customization on your own terms and to allow talented individuals to make huge gains. I just don’t think there’s much to be gained from governing by committee.

I asked the graphic arts team at eLocomotive to create a simple logo and appearance for the site. It should be done next week.
One key question was SpoonOS or Spoonos. We like SpoonOS but we’ll make a final decision after the first design. At this point, I’m more concerned about building a solid community and a good roadmap for the project.

Spoonos open source project management is on the way. Starting with Active Collab version 0.7.1, we’re preparing a roadmap and community tools necessary to grow an active community.
I’m not shooting for a huge community at this point. I just want solid, web based project management. We’ll add new features one spoonful at a time.
